Description
A painting by request by my son for his 6th birthday. Unable to sleep and insatiably hungry due to yet another growth spurt, my son hovered over my shoulder watching me toil over a painting i have yet to finish...before i scolded him for being awake so late on a school night i asked him what he wanted for his birthday that was only a day or two away hoping to redirect him back to bed. As he munched on a handful of grapes he had swiped from the fridge he said...a painting, Mama. With grapes. And a bug like me (per his nickname "Bug")...eating some after bedtime." Can I have those grapes so i can look at them and paint them?" I asked. " ok Mama...but not THIS grape. Its MINE."
